DO SPORTS AT CESA

Every student of BUT as well as Erasmus students can enjoy sport activities at BUT. Everybody can optionally enrol in two sports lessons per week in each semester. You can choose from wide range of sport activities, both collective and individual. Besides that you can enjoy services of personal trainers, nutritional advisors and physiotherapists. And if you achieve great results, you can represent our university on national and international level.

CESA offers sports in the form of an optional courses, most of them free of charge. Foreign students of short-term stay can either enrol in sports activities designated specifically for foreign students in English language or join sports activities together with Czech students in Czech language.

The portfolio is extended by the charged free-time activities (FTA) utilising the capacity of school premises throughout the whole year. Another extension are winter and summer courses organized in cooperation with Univesity Sport Club.

FAQ

  • WHERE TO FIND INFORMATION ABOUT SPORTS OFFERING?

    Visit the sports portfolio offering.

    You can find schedule for each sport in STUDIS in menu Schedules so at the same place as schedules of other courses, groups and persons. Please select CESA in faculty filter and required semester.

    You can see information about your registered courses in STUDIS in menu Electronical record book. Students are required to prove themselves with a valid student ID card with a current validation mark before the start of the course.

  • HOW AND WHEN TO REGISTER?

    Students of all years of full-time study (bachelor's, master's, doctoral) enrol in the optional sport course electronically in STUDIS according to their interest and time possibilities. First round of registration is open lasts week before the semester and the second round after the semester opening. Dates are available in the schedule of the CESA school year. You can also unregister the sport courses during registration periods. During the semester, the registered sport can be cancelled only for health reasons.

  • CAN I REGISTER IN THE CLASS DIRECTLY?

    BUT sport representations members have a special registration regime according to the instructions in the course. Those interested in representation and long-term university leagues apply directly at the teachers by mail.

  • WHICH COURSES ARE CHARGED?

    Every student of BUT as well as Erasmus students can optionally enrol in two sports hours per week in each semester in sport premises of BUT free of charge.

    The unsettled registrations are cancelled in accordance with the CESA schedule.

    SHORT-TERM ERASMUS STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLLOWED to register for charged sport so the information about payment is in Czech only.

  • CAN I GET CREDIT FOR THE OPTIONAL SPORT COURSE?

    Yes, you get 1 credit per sport (not for lesson). Credit requirements are defined in the syllabus of the course (usually attendance with possible 2 absences + active participation in teaching, etc.).

  • GUIDE TO REGISTER INTO COURSES

    First, read carefully all the information about sports registration in CESA News.

    Registration on sports takes place exclusively in electronics at Studis. It is NOT possible to register in person directly in lessons!

    Please follow the schedule.

    Each student can enrol in a maximum of 2 sports. In some classes, sportsmen performance is distinguished, so please choose the appropriate level. You can read details in the description of a specific sport: R, K = recreational fitness lessons without performance differentiation / Z = beginners with intensive training / MP = intermediate / P = intermediate with advanced training / V = sports selections and representations / S = medical and therapeutic activities, relaxation and regeneration.

    During the open enrolment, students are obliged to cancel those registrations that they are not interested in anymore or cannot attend the selected sport due to a schedule collision, thus freeing up places for other applicants.

    In the credit week at the end of each semester, enrolled students will be awarded a credit if they meet the fulfilled conditions set out in the course.

  • GUIDE TO UNREGISTER FROM COURSES

    • Cancellation of registration is possible only at the time of opening the registration module. Take the opportunity to check out in time and free up space for other interested parties.
    • Cancellation of registration during the semester can be requested at the CESA director by email only for health reasons (after submitting a medical report in case of accident, long-term illness, etc.).
