Volleyball

The course is designed semesterly, training and game hours are listed for all game levels without the specification of hours for men and women. Teaching takes place in Purkyňov gyms with the aim of getting acquainted with basic game skills, technique and tactics of the game. In the lessons, the basic game activities of the individual, the basic game combinations and their applications in the actual game are developed.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Implementation in the chosen sport, mastering the basic game activities of the individual in volleyball, the ability to apply the game activities of the individual in the basic game situations of the team and to develop the physical fitness and mental resilience of the player.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Group lessons - practical exercises leading to the development of individual and team game activities, training of techniques leading to mastering the player's game activities in ball processing (pairs, triplets, etc.), development of all volleyball skills, development of physical condition, development of mental resilience, development of work techniques with his own body.
Z = practice of basic game activities of an individual and the basic game system, knowledge of the rules of six-volleyball (volleyball school).
R / K = recreational form of volleyball, without distinction of player maturity, the basic level of game activities of an individual and knowledge of the rules of six volleyball is assumed
P = creation of a wider stack of individual game activities and practice of simple game combinations, knowledge of basic offensive and defensive game combinations is assumed.
V = representative selection of BUT

VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE = UVL is a year-round amateur competition intended primarily for BUT students (leisure activity - optional physical education beyond the scope of the course).

COURSES - extension activity in cooperation with VSK VUT Brno

SPORTS REPRESENTATION - those interested in the school's sports representation in the system of university championships must contact the sports guarantor and can participate in joint training in advanced classes (P) or in specially focused recruitment classes at the beginning of the semester (V)

TOURNAMENTS AND EVENTS - Christmas games, Sports Day, etc. (suitable for compensation for missed classes)

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Credit on the basis of active participation at lessons, ie regular attendance with records in the attendance list; 2 unexcused participations are allowed).

Course curriculum

1. Health and safety - acquaintance with the basic rules of observing safety in hours, in the event of an accident, when detecting defects on the sports field; curriculum, recommended program, conditions for credit; individual game activities and play.
2. Lesson plan for lessons 2 - 12:
• volleyball guards and the player's movement on the field
• practice of rebounding technique
• training in offensive activities
• training of defensive activities - individual block, double block
• covering up individuals, cooperatives
• serving practice
• the basic position of players on the field during their own attack
• the basic position of players in their own defense
• controlled game
• introduction to the basic rules of volleyball
• own game
• game
• Additional program: increasing physical condition, strengthening with a focus on weakened muscle areas.

Aims

The aim of the course is to expand motor skills, to achieve masters of basic game activities of individuals and teams and to be able to apply these skills in their own play. Be able to observe the basic rules in the position of team players both in their own attack and in their own defense and to manage mentally and physically stressful situations arising during their own game, to learn to anticipate game situations and to respond to them adequately according to their abilities.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Regular attendance with registration in the attendance list, 2 unexcused absences are allowed, apologies orally for absences in advance directly in class or by email in advance, but no later than 24.0 hours after the date of class.
Compensation for missed and unexcused hours always in agreement with the teacher directly in the specialization or in specific hours at the Machina Fit Center. The compensation is recorded in the attendance sheet or the teacher issues a written confirmation if the attendance sheet is not available.
Other possibilities of compensation are in block teaching, at courses and at CESA sports events (eg Christmas games, Sports Day, one-off weekend educational events).
